What is a Scheme?
Site-specific
coast protection and flood defence schemes are detailed
programmes of work designed to reduce and manage the flood and
coastal erosion risks to people and assets.
Schemes must be
technically and economically sound and sustainable,
environmentally acceptable and conform to government guidelines,
licences and procedures.
