Portsmouth Field Trip, 10 July 2018

We will be visiting the North Portsea Island Scheme on Tuesday 10th July for our 2018 SCOPAC field visit.  

The Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership are organising the event for which the provisional plan is to meet at the Mountbatten Centre at 10am on Tuesday 10th July.

There will be a series of presentations introducing the Eastern Solent Coastal Partnership and the two schemes in Portsmouth:

Lunch will be provided* at the Mountbatten Centre, alongside a demonstration of tracer pebble and beach monitoring techniques.

There is free parking available at the venue, and there will be more details concerning directions to the room confirmed soon.

Following lunch, there will be a site visit to Tipner Lake to view the current construction works, with an approximate finish time of 15:30.

This site visit will require full Personal Protective Equipment (hard hat, goggles, gloves, hi-vis, and boots with midsole and steel toe).**

Attendance is free to SCOPAC full members, with a charge of £50 per person for non-SCOPAC officers and £100 per person for consultants and contractors.
